MAJOR FUNCTION:

Responsible for managing JDEdwards-World applications including, but not limited to, Sales Order Entry, Advanced Pricing, Inventory and Purchase Order Management System, Shop Floor Control, Work Order, Product Costing, Distribution/Manufacturing Requirements Planning, and other associated non-JDE subsystems, including but not limited to integration with Sales Force Dot Com CRM, UPS World Ship, web portal tool and i-Bolt. Provide secondly management role for JDEdwards-World applications including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable System and World Writer, FASTR Tool. Provide system-level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and software tools, including implementation, installation, configuration, user training, maintenance, documentation and support of the Distribution & Manufacturing System. Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources. Ensures business objectives of a project or an application are met, while effectively directing the activities of staff assigned to the project or system.

COMPETENCIES:

  1. Plans, schedules, coordinates and oversees major software upgrades, new releases, and installation and implementation of related software applications; organizes and assigns test teams, develops implementation schedule and work tasks, and manages implementation of custom changes to the Distribution & Manufacturing System.
  2. Coordinates installation of program fixes and customized menus for the Distribution & Manufacturing System; troubleshoots programming and systems problems associated with applications already in use.
  3. Studies and reports on unused or under utilized functions of the Distribution & Manufacturing System; develops and tests new or modified functions, reports, customized programs to compute data, or changes to file structure; creates or updates functional specifications for new or modified functions or reports and applications; coordinate with lead user and developer to test and implement new or modified programs as needed.
  4. Reviews and edit reports and operator error messages, and provides applications support to end users for the Distribution & Manufacturing System and related applications.
  5. Develops documentation for training and conduct user training for end users on how to effectively use the Distribution & Manufacturing System features and related applications.
  6. Studies manual business processes and procedures, and makes recommendations on how to automate such manual business processes and procedures.
  7. Applies good practice industry standard, auditing principles and techniques to ensure that data integrity, internal controls, and audit trails are maintained throughout all applications.
  8. Performs professional work related to special projects involving programming, systems analysis, or any other tasks associated with distribution business management, as assigned.
  9. May act as a project leader or provide work direction or training to less experienced employees within the department, or to end users.
  10. Coordinate or assist other Application System Analysts or developers from time to time as needed.
  11. Performs other related work as required.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline and five (5) years or more of experience in programming, system analysis and loading large projects. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must have at lest 10 years of successful experience in implementing, training, or maintaining JDE World ERP applications including, however, not limited to, Sales Order Process, Inventory, Purchase Order Management, Shop Floor Control, Work Order, Product Costing, Distribution/Manufacturing Requirement Planning modules.
Knowledge of JDE World Advanced Pricing is desirable.
Knowledge and working experience of RPG programming is desirable.

MAJOR FUNCTION:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Sources and initiates sales with large national accounts.
  2. Makes sales calls and presentations to introduce the company, its products and product capabilities.
  3. Follows up on sales calls, quotes, negotiates terms and closes on contracts.
