Self-Generating Hydropower

Self-Generating Hydropower

Self-Sustaining Faucets

Powered by water, EcoPower’s turbine creates an electrical current that is stored in rechargeable cells to power the Smart Sensor System of either the faucet or valve.  EcoPower replenishes its charge with as few as five uses a day and is optimized at a mere 10 uses per day.

This translates into reduced electricity use, lower maintenance costs with frequent disposable battery replacement and better ecology with hands-free, automatic-shut-off functionality.

Less Damage, Easier Access

EcoPower faucets are specifically designed to keep controls and components below deck—and out of the way of both accidental and intended damage. And all components are easily and readily accessible when required. The faucet has an easy access screen to protect working components from debris and natural waterborne elements.

Self-Sustaining Flushometer Valves

EcoPower sensor flush valves are energy-saving, durable and provide maximum performance in even the most demanding, high-traffic commercial spaces. The savings to the customer are immediate:

  • Eliminate the cost and downtime required to install power supplies and wiring for each valve.
  • Eliminate maintenance costs for battery replacement since the hydro-powered turbine charges the power supply during usage.
Made to Work...Every Time

TOTO’s piston valve technology is also a marked improvement over traditional rubber diaphragm-type valves. Longer piston travel and a self-cleaning 360° debris screen reduce common problems such as continuous running and flooding. The piston seat itself will not warp or mis-seal, thus significantly reducing repair and maintenance costs. Upon activation, a micro-porous cup seal keeps the piston self-lubricated with the incoming water supply.

Putting Water to Work

EcoPower faucets and flushometer valves put water to work by supplying the very energy they consume. The flow of water spins the high-efficiency turbine to both create and store power. Each turn of the turbine powers and recharges capacitors that power the sensor and solenoid valve, which are backed up by the battery. With as few as 10 uses a day, the backup battery itself is seldom used and can last up to 19 years!
