Maintain quality assurance procedures, practices, and standard evaluation methods that will ensure product quality and integrity.





  1. Investigates field returns of unacceptable product. Issue and analyze summary reports for corrective action.
  2. Documents, compiles and reports inspection results.
  3. Conducts statistical studies, analysis of data, and issues reports as needed.
  4. Identifies and reports quality problems or trends in the assigned area or product based on data from a variety of sources such as returned defective goods, number of warranty parts supplied to the field, property damage data, inspection data, etc.
  5. Aid in the inspection of DR4 items for production approval (PPAP/CASS test)
  6. Performs and ensures that competitive sample analysis are completed in a timely manner and forwarded as appropriate.
  7. Site Visits to suppliers and end users for the purpose of inspections, quality audits, root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and /or preventive actions.
  8. Provide technical assistance to other departments, suppliers, and customers as needed.
  9. Develop, recommend and update quality procedures.
  10. Perform quality audits as needed.
  11. Audits product quality and conducts improvement as needed.
  12. Recommends revisions, corrections or changes determined during inspection.
  13. Generates or implements defect reduction activities.
  14. Conduct ISO Internal Audits.
  15. Assigning QNCRs, CARs, PARs, etc. through Intelex as needed.




  1. Assist in the education and training of personnel as needed.
  2. Performs other functions as needed.
  3. Inspection and/or survey of supplier’s facilities to evaluate adherence to the company’s quality requirements for products or systems.
  4. Assist in evaluating field returns to identify any failure trends as well as performing failure analysis and interfacing with customers on Quality Engineering issues.

Provides technical assistance to customers, potential customers, sales, distributors, manufacturer representatives, etc. related to proper installation, product features, specifications, and applicable product to meet designated specification.




  1. Responds to customer telephone and email inquiries regarding installation problems or malfunctions as well as provide step by step instructions to alleviate problems or malfunctions.
  2. Provides specifications of company products to architects, engineers, manufacturer representatives, field sales, etc. who are seeking to evaluate company products to determine if meet local and state building codes.
  3. Compiles claim data in order to form trend analysis as well as make product improvements.
  4. Provides documentation to customers and regulatory agencies denoting product specifications in order to verify compliance with local and state codes.
  5. Explains products and features to customers, potential customers, architects, engineers, plumbers, distributors, etc.
  6. Provides field support to customer and sales in order to evaluate claims due to quality, faulty installation, etc.
  7. Investigate, evaluate and approve repair claims of damaged products.
  8. Performs and evaluates comparison testing of competitor products.
  9. Prepares and distributes test reports or other information to regulatory agencies in order to determine if product meets state code requirements.
  10. Evaluate company products in accordance to certification standards.
  11. Provide input on installation manuals for new and improved products.
  12. Provide input on packaging specifications of company products for vendors.
